About myself

Director, writer and storyteller based in Germany

Sinan Sevinç is one of the most exciting emerging creative voices of today. A journalist-turned-director who masters the art of storytelling, he creates films that authentically reflect modern culture— ranging from feature-length narratives and documentaries to commercial campaigns and music videos. His work is defined by emotionally precise storytelling, multicultural awareness, and a deeply atmospheric visual style.

Sinan has directed projects for Netflix, Apple, adidas, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung and others. His graduation film reimagined the events that led up to three pivotal moments in history, and picked up five YDA awards in Cannes including the Grand Jury Prize. In 2023, he created ‘The Great Escape’ for Apple, a ‘shot on iPhone’ campaign that amassed more that 65 Million views in one month and has gone on to become Apple’s most-seen spot in Europe. Most recently, Sinan directed his first Docufiction Project called „BABO – The Haftbefehl Story“ for Netflix.

Growing up in the city of Tübingen, he first worked in various agencies as a conceptionist and copywriter after graduating from high school. In 2014, he began studying “Crossmedia Journalism” at the Stuttgart Media University. Three years later, he successfully finished with distinction. His fascination for film then led him to the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2017, where he began studying directing. In 2023 he graduated with a diploma. Today, he works as a director on feature films, documentaries and commercials.
